Download ALV Report to excel file with expand/collapse functionality

Hi All, 

Is it possible to download the ALV report to excel file with expand/collapse rows and column functionality?

ALV doesn't have expand/collapse. For the rows, are you talking about the ALV tree technology? But then I don't get how it goes for columns?

Im struggling with the same problem, did you find the solution? Or how to expand all the rows?

If the expand/collapse functions for rows only, there is a standard program that caters the functionality. You can refer the link below.

This blog post does a workaround by adding columns with buttons expand and collapse inside the ALV Grid (code based on CL_GUI_ALV_GRID). How did you solve for the "download to Excel" part?
