Hello There Ladies and Gentleman! I'm a bit of a newbie with Crystal Reports so bare with me. I'm using Crystal Reports 8.5. Here is my issue. I have a report that is broken down into two groups, season_code and receipt_year. I am doing a count on a database field, titles, for each receipt_year for each season_code. For example we got 6 titles in 2000 for season 1, 5 titles in 1998 for season 1 and so forth and so on for each year and then each season. I want to do a total number of titles received for all years for each season_code but have not had any luck doing it. I try to do subtotal for the field but it can't. My expliantion for this was that you can't summarize an already summarized field. I'm kinda stuck here. Do I need to create a formula field for this instead and if so how do I break this for each group? Any help y'all can give me would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I need to explain further. Thanks in advance!! Jami

Thanks for the response Mike! That worked!! I ended up instead of using a count, doing a running total and then doing a summary for each season and it seems to suit my needs. Thank you again for your response. Was glad I could get this wrapped up. Thanks again!

hi, i think i know what you mean.

I think you may have to group by season_code, you can then put a summary in the newly created group footer
