the document updata is nothing but the database update.

statistical update is used for statistival data i.e which is used for reporting .

synchronous update(v1) means the document and statistical update happens at the same time it is used for time critical data such as credit and debit.

if any one fails the entire process is rolled back.

asynchrionus update menans Document Update & Statistical Update(v2) is carrried out separately i.e not at same .the prcoess is not rolled back.

pls assign points if helpful.

Hi, Kumar,

As V1 is meant for updating the r/3 tables and V2 is for updating the LIS table for reporting purpose . So , aftre V1 only V2 should take place .. U can think it in a simple way like if the data is not available in the table itself how u can do the reporting on that ..

V1 is synchronous and V2 is asychronous . That is V1 takes place in a work process while V2 is having different work processes independemt of each other.

Hope it helps..

Hi, Kumat

In synchronous update the document update and statistical update takes place in synchronous to each other where as in asynchronous update type document update takes place independent of statistical update .

Document update is updation of your r/3 tables eg vbak , vbap , just like executing a tcode.

While in Statistical update the data is stored redundantly as the r/3 tables which is purely meant for reporting . There are some LIS tables which is used for statistical update ..

Regards..
