Hello ,
our data point comments and the comments in the comment column of our planning template dissapeared overnight. The comment column is now empty.
1. What ist the cause of this and how can we retrieve the comments again, they must be somewhere ?
2. How can we avoid this ?
Anyone experienced similar problems with SAC.
THank you !
Hi @kschauer ,
Is there jobs scheduled and run for the model before the comments disappearing?
Can you try to add a comment and see if it can be displayed?
You can also check from the browser (inspect-->network) to find the comment request--getDataPointThread to check if there's comments returned from backend:

Hi @richard_kilian,
You can see from the request that the commentModel is empty, that means there're no comment returned from backend for the request.
You can check if you have adjust the filter for the table which will change the context of comments and result in no comment returned.
You can also check if the backend works by adding a comment and to see weather it is returned. If not, it should be a bug.
Best Regards

Hello @kschauer
Have you already went through the help page, checking what reasons exist for that behaviour?
Might it be that there was a special filter on a certain dimension included yesterday, in contrast to now?
I assume the comments are still existing... the question is only: On which dimensions? 😅
Unfortunately I don't any solution to find all of them.
I thought I read it somewhen, but it might be I remember the fact only that you can find out how many versions exist on a planning model!?

@MKreitlein Thanks for your thoughts but we only have one planning version and one column with comments. The column is fixed in the table and can´t be changed. No Dimensionfilters were changed.
The comments are still somewhere in the Database, beause the total number of datacomments are shown in the Model Preferences but they are not shown in the comment-column of the story anymore
Hello @kschauer ... only one more idea to test, since I hardly worked with comments at all:
You could create a small new model, and add 2-3 comments there.
After you deleted them again, does the Model Preference show 0 comments or still the prior number?
Not, that anybody really deleted all, but the model still shows the number... the same exists on Facebook.
If you delete a comment, the counter is not decreased anymore... it still shows the number as if your comment was still there 😞
