Dispacther gets stopped

Dear All,

I am facing a problem with IDES system. When I start the SAP from MMC console in windows 2003 with oracle database (ECC 5.0) the dispatcher gets stopped immediately after it tries to start the work process. All the work process ends up and dispatcher stops. But the message server and gateway service are still running.

Hi,

Your error is simply because of wrong db env setting that cause db-connect failed.

B *** ERROR => Invalid profile parameter dbms/type (or environment variable dbms_type) = <undef>, cannot load DB library

If you run R3trans -dx command, you will see the similar error too in Trans.log file.

Are you in Oracle on Windows ? If so, please see SAP Note 556232.

After verify the things, test with R3trans -dx. It must return 0000 to indicate succesfful db connection.
