Disadvantages of using BPM:-
1) Lot of configuration.
2) troubleshooting takes more time.
3) as many interfaces can take part in BPM , its all dependant process.
4) result of other step is put on hold for execution of entire workflow.
5)its slow as well.
6)Finally well in case of asynchronous scenario, and bad in case of synchronous...

Hi Gabriel,
using BPm is always advantageous only thing is that complex scenarios are named as BPM.So it is complex
once you get the idea of BPM then no disadvanges.

i am not totaly agree with u!!!
i have seen in most of the projects people dont prefer BPM.Because of performance issue. Its performance is not good since it allows stateful message processing.
One should go for BPM only when it is not possible to model your scenario with out BPM!!
But heard that in 7.1 the performance issue is lil bit resolved.
