Hi team,
what are the other alternatives inorder to deploy the Webdynpro java applicatiobs on Application server
apart from NWDS studio.
Is it possible to deploy the application using Telnet ?
Could you please let us know the commands to deploy the same applications.
Thanks
S Kumar
We need to use the NWDI as the WDJ has to be to be transported accross the landscape.

Hi shravan,
You can also run your application underthe below mentioned link
http://<host name>:<instance id>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/Explorer
You just need to select your package and expand your package to see the list of applications. This is only possible if you have already deployed the application on SDM.
This method is useful to check the full functionality of the application.

Hi Shravan,
You can Deploy your webdynpro java Applications in the server using SDM(Software Deployment manager).
Please follow these steps to deploy the EAR file via SDM:
1) Unzip the zip file and extract the EAR file (I am assuming, the zip file only contains the EAR file).
2) Login to your Portal server and navigate to following path: \usr\sap\<SID>\JC01\SDM\program
3) Open RemoteGui.bat
4) SDM GUI will open. Login to SDM GUI by clicking on the "Connect to SDM Server" button at the top left hand corner and entering the SDM password.
5) Open the Deployment tab.
6) Click on the button "Add SCA/SDA to Deployment List (Local File Browser)" with green + symbol.
7) Browse for the EAR file on the server machine (you will need to have the EAR file on the server machine).
😎 Click the Next button below.
9) Click the Next button once more.
10) Click the Start Deployment button.
11) Once the deployment finishes, click the Confirm button.
12) If there are no errors encountered, then the EAR file has been deployed successfully. Logout from the SDM GUI.
Hope this helps....
Thanks,
Rahul
