Hi,

I have a text that comes from the report and will be displayed on the PDF form. Now i want to have all the Names in the TEXT to be displayed in bold.

This text is dynamic.... any suggestion..??

eg:

Text from the report: 'All the points in the document have been read by Mr. Nitin Kumar and also have .....'

Text should be displayed as: 'All the points in the document have been read by Mr. Nitin Kumar and also have .....'

This question has little to do with Adobe Form. I think you should put this question to general ABAP forum.

The point is how to use ABAP code to "cut" the name from other texts (and save it to another field). If you achieve this, then you have a lot of approaches to display it bold in Adobe Form.

I don't think it is possible to achieve this without modifying the report where the texts come from.

Actually, even with human being's brain, it is also not 100% correct, if the name is from another culture. For example, "He" and "She" are chinese family names...

My suggestion: Read the report carefully to check, if you could get the information as separate text fields instead of a whole text variable.

Best regards,

Tao

Hello Nitin,

Is the whole text you are displaying is dynamic or only the name in between the text is dynamic,  If only name is dynamic, try maintaining text as a text module in smartforms transaction and use your own  style accordingly and format the text.  While importing the text to form, in the text option, mark the check box, copy the style from smart form.

thanks,

Rakesh.
