Hi,
I created a 'subtract' column by right click on the two year columns (2021 & 2022) and then 'Add client calculation'/Subtract as in the ss1. These two years are displayed based on variable selection i made as shown in the ss2.
Now the issue is when i change values for variable 'FM: Budget Period' the 'substract' field position is disturbed and also the 'substract' doesnt work as displayed in ss3.
i want the 'subtract' to work as expected and its position shouldnt change if i select two other 'FM: Budget Period'. Lets say 2019 & 2020. User will always select two consecutive years. Basically he is trying to compare/find difference in budget amount between two years. How to achieve this?
Datasphere model is used for this story. The model is built using ECC remote tables.
PS: Data type of field 'FM: Budget Period' is string(10) in the datasphere model.
This is how client calculation currently work, they get attached to the member which you select and create the formula, in your case the years. One Way could be your create restricted measure with the years selected and then create a calculated measure for variance.
