Hi Racherla,

SUP has been re-branding to SMP (SAP mobile Platform) with additional feature of syclo agentry. Available SMP version is SMP 2.3.x

JK just a quick question.Am into SAP from last 4 Years in that I worked in SD & CS for 2.5 years then I moved into Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP 521) 2.0 .Can I learn SMP 3.0 directly or any preliminary foundation I have to take please suggest.Thank you

Hi Racherla,

Latest SAP mobile platform version is 3.0 and it is good if you are starting working on it directly.

There are various kind of development in SMP 3.0

1. SMP native app development specific to iOS, Android, BB, WM

2. Syclo agentry

3. Sybase mobilizer

4. REST API App development-- both native and hybrid

5. Kapsel based app development-hybrid app

e.g. For kapsel app development, you should have basic knowledge of OData, html5, js, css
