Hi

InfoPackage is the BI object that contains all the settings directing exactly how this data should be uploaded from the source system. The target of the InfoPackage is the PSA table tied to the specific DataSource associated with the InfoPackage.

Each upload of data from a source system is bundled into a data package. So the result of executign an infopackage is a datapackage of data from the source system.

thanx for the response

suppose if the load fails in a particular datapacket the shall v need to upload the entire infopackage since an infopackage may consist of multiple data packets. plz make clear my issue what r d steps need to b followed.

Thanx and Regards

Hi,

Just to add on what others have said.

infopackage is basically something with the help of which u schedule data for loading depending on various conditions like data should be only to data target or to psa and then the data target. if u want to load some specific data u can give the selection criteria in infopackage.

when the load is scheduled in move in the form of data packates lets say 10 records in each data packets. there might be 100's of data packets while loading data. Now when a packet fails due to some incorrect record u need to corect the data in that packet manually in psa and then load that packet only manually.

hope this is useful info

thanks

Hi,

Infopackage is what you create under datasource to load data into BW system.Data package contains data records you transfer to bw system.
