Developing applications for ME

Hi all,

I'm quite new to all this ME stuff, but already have a - maybe basic - question. Suppose, you have a R/3 system with an industry solution running (e.g. retail) and want to leverage thos solutions specific fuinctionalities to your mobile devices out in the field. Does this mean complete new application development or is it something already existing made by SAP. If not, Do I have to code ABAP and Java, design tables, BAPIs and all that? Thanx for help

Hello Volker,

have a look at http://service.sap.com/mobile -> Mobile Applications. You get a list of ready to run applications provided by SAP.

I already looked at this location. But this was not the question. The question is, what to do if you need features which are not covered by already existing apps provided by SAP.

Hello Volker,

I think that you have to develop this features on your own. Or do a project together with SAP to extend the standard solution and get the extention included into the standard.
