We are embarking on a developing a mobile app that our client wants to run on a Windows 8 phone. We have the latest version of Sybase 12 as the reference database.
What setup is required to create this type of application. Windows wants everyone to develop the apps using their Windows 8 Phone SDK which involves developing in C# and Visual Studio. My question is - Has anyone every developed a Windows 8 Phone app using Ultralite / Mobilink technology? Should all development be in C# and is there libraries for this?
Are there any samples out there?
Thanks!

Currently, we do not have support for Windows Phone 8:

We are also aware that other customers have also requested this support, but do not have any announcements regarding this support at this time.

Is Windows 7 Phone supported? Looking at the matrix, it just says Windows 7. Could we develop a synchronized Ultralite app that will be deployed on a Window 7 phone? If so, what is the preferred development environment?
Thanks!!!!!!!!
