Deploy .jar file

Hi,

I have made some modifications to the abc.jar file and would like to know the best way of deploying it to the portal. Currently, I am replacing the old .jar file, but that requires time consuming server restart. Is there a better of doing this?

Adding the .jar file to the .par archive (com.sap.pct.xyz.abc.par). Hope is helps.
