Deleting master data from transformation

Dear Experts

If a DTP finds a same-key record as already existing in Master data, and if this record found in DTP is having a certain status or flag, this record should be skipped and the existing same-key record should be deleted from the master data . The master data is not used in any infoprovider transaction data.

Can this be done? If so, kindly give me some clues how to achieve this.

Best regards

M Russo

Hi,

This needs to be done through ABAP routine only.

DTPs can handle duplicate master data also if you just wanted to keep it for history.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

If a DTP finds a same-key record as already existing in Master data.

So as to know this you will have to read the existing master data in internal table under Start routine.

if this record found in DTP is having a certain status or flag, this record should be skipped and the existing same-key record should be deleted from the master data .

After that you can loop on the source package and delete the unwanted data using FM RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA.

Hi,

You may achieve this by a routine only. If you are a ABAPer too, then try building the logic to implement the same. Else, wait for other's input.........
