delete temp table from HANA

When i call report in BOBJ (which use universe on Calc view )in Administration i see that this report use more than 2 GB RAM.

When report is done i see the same value of memory, but when HANA delete data from temp table which i use in Calc view?

Hi llya,

As per my knowledge, its taking time to release the memory and many time you have to restart the database.

Like in HANA if I am loading the data and then I am deleting the data, it take some time to release the memory.

But if you are using same then its remain active in the main memory.

So if i understand coorectly,after generation report my temp table is still in the memory.

In my CV several temp tables:var_bseg  and other.

if i run report several times my temp tables creates once and then system only read from this temp table ?

yes, you can say like this. See, to free the from memory it took sometime..instantly it will not release the memory. It's for few minute/seconds only. If you will say for long hour then that is wrong.

Hi IIya,

As far as I know, HANA uses a least recently used method to decide when an object is removed from memory.  This allows it to be reused if the view is called again.
