Making a small change to the Multiprovider or any of its underlying infoproviders deactivates the multiprovider.

You can make a change and restore it and just save the multiprovider instead of activating it.

Hi,

I tried that including adding/removing infoproviders, but

Multiprovider still show active in rsa1. Any ideas? Thanks.

Instead of Including or removing infoproviders try going into the definition and include an Infoobject..

then save the muliprovider definition..

Then you can again remove the info object and again save the definition..Don`t activate..This should do it..

Hi Clyde,

Making any changes to it and saving it will deactivate it. I'm wondering why you wanted to do it and what difference it will make. Can you explain the requirement for doing it?

Hi Clyde,

SE16--> TABLE NAME "RSDCUBE" > Enter cube name and execute> select cube and click on change button-->set the onject status to either "INA" OR "OFF" as per your wish.

Hope this helps..don't forget to give some points.

Hi!

I think it is not possible . as far as i know when you change some thing in the multiprovider these changes will be included in the modified version of the definition and activ version still exits. only thing you can do it is delete or use authorizations to restrict the access to this multiprovider.

Hi Clyde/Ashwin,

In my experience even making a small change to the base Infocube in the Multiprovider deactivates the multiprovider..I have done it..

Clyde,

I wonder if you are trying to do this in a Prod system and if you have change access in it..

Pls let me know

Hi Ashish!

it will not deactivate it but it puts as modified. you can always see the OBJECT status as active . so there will be 2 versions after modifying.
