dbmlsync errors with access denied SYSUSERPERM

I am setting up a new remote database and I am getting this error that I have never seen before. If I use the dba user sync works fine. I could try granting access to this view but I am thinking I did something wrong because I should have to do this. FYI, I started this remote db from the consolidated db and just cleaned out the data.

The user that dbmlsync connects to the remote database with needs to either have DBA or REMOTE DBA privileges. Granitng REMOTE DBA privileges mean nothing unless the user is connected from dbmlsync or dbremote, in which case they effectively have DBA prviliges. They will not have DBA privileges when connected from any other processes.

Thanks Reg. It turns out that one of my group memberships was missing. All is well now.
