Database Performance Warehause

Hello,

I just begun test work with Database Performance Warehause and I have some problems. I checked, that "DBA cockpit connection is OK" for specified database in SOLMAN_SETUP, but when I run tr. dbacockpit, I can't get into Performance-> Performance Warehause - it's grey. Moreover, I can find information in EWA report:

"Your system BWD is not connected to a Database Performance Warehouse."

I read info in note "1312006 - DB6: Database Performance Warehouse Master Note" and also pdf :

"Using Database Performance Warehouse to Monitor IBM DB2 for LUW - Part 1.pdf".

Is there any specific way to check if system is connected to Database Performance Warehasue?

release of my solution manager:

ST 710 0013 SAPKITL713 SAP Solution Manager Tool

I'm looking forward to any information.

Best Regards

Hello Sebastian,

I guess, there was some issue with the link. Kindly have a look at the below solution.

1267189 DBA Cockpit: DB2 for LUW as Remote Database

V.   Setting up the Database Connection

To ensure that the SAP Solution Manager system can use and query the

remote database, you must define the access data. The access data is

saved in encrypted form in the table DBCON. To set up the remote

database connection, you use the setup wizard in the SAP Solution

Manager.

For Solution Manager SP18, you should always use the Solution Manager

setup wizard "to enable the Database Performance Warehouse feature".

1.  AS of SAP Solution Manager SP18, call transaction SOLMAN_SETUP in

    your SAP Solution Manager system.

2.  Choose "Managed System Configuration" on the left pane and select

the system that you want to integrate from the table.

3.  Choose the "Configure System" pushbutton.

A wizard appears guiding you through the procedure of how to attach

a system to the solution manager for monitoring. In step 2 "Manual

Configuration", there is a manual step "Configure DBA Cockpit" that

starts the database connection wizard. Follow the instructions of

    the wizard.

Hope the above information helps!

Thanks,
Gunjan

Hello Gunjan,

I did it already at the beginning of configuration.

I found solution in the meantime. The problem was with agent, I restarted daaadm agent on database server, and then I again executed start of agents from solman. Now, I can see, that Performance Warehause is available (not grey)

Thank You very much.

Best Regards

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

It's good to hear that issue is resolved.

Sometimes, starting the agent also reverts back the unwanted changes and displays the original settings.

Thanks,
Gunjan
