The connection will come through exactly as it was in the source system unless you have configured connection overrides in Promotion Management. That is just the way it works. Without overrides configured, how would it know what to change the connection information to?

Hi we already configured the override in the promotion management.

As overrides is part of the setup in CMC and to be able to run the reports in both environments (CRYSWRS DEV) and (WPHSCRYRPT UAT).

Maybe we did miss something
We only did the scan and update for overrides
do we need to export the connection and import it to UAT?.

Kindly help.

Hello,

When you do a migration from the LCMBiar file, and selectig all dependencies option will bring from server to server the required/used connections and so on.

Here, in the CR for Enterprise report - which rely on ODBC connection - which is repository object, and a when it was transported from source to destination system - the object name stayed - however the connection moved from server to server. - Otherwise CR4Ent report would not run ..

Best Regards,

"however the connection moved from server to server."

Yes the connection is correct , the reports runs fine. We tested the 2 ODBC and the correct data is reflected as well.

However the client is questioning as to why the Data Source Name did not change upon migration. Is there a KB that states that it will retain the source were the rpt/template is uploaded.
