Hello there

I am trying to connect my DS workbench with a MSSQL database and get the following error - from the log.

What could be wrong?

My ODBC connections are testing ok and connections from Data Services Designer - datastore is working fine as well.

I assume we are talking about DS 4.x ( which SP ? just as info for me )
Can you attached screenshots if possible the logs as txt files.
Based on your last comment it sound like the job ran successuly in designer but you get no data in your target table without error logged in the error log file.
Where the error seen in the description comes from ?

Adil,  DS 4.1,..I think the workbench is beta so I think it may be bug. The main issue now is designer.

The log for workbench is in first post.

The Jobtracelog for designer is as follows

14.1) 04-04-12 16:17:11 (39756:3822241536)      JOB: The initial environment locale <eng_us.utf-8> has been coerced to <Unicode (UTF-16)> ().

(14.1) 04-04-12 16:17:12 (39756:3822241536)      JOB: Processing job <New_Job6>.

(14.1) 04-04-12 16:17:13 (39756:3822241536)      JOB: Initializing transcoder for datastore <GTLNOPODBC> to transcode between engine codepage<Unicode (UTF-16)> and datastore

Now I see that  the Job which appeared green earlier is red today.

Hi Anand,

Please open two separat tickets for this.

If you are included in the 4.1 ramp-up program (Ramp-Up = kind of beta where you are paying a dedicated resouce from SAP  called Ramp-up Coach to assist you in adoption the solution; I believe that Premium Customers can use their allocated training/consultant or TQM days for that ,but you would have to ask for more details )

Then your tickets on this produts will also show ramp-up status and will be treated as such.
Ask your ramp-up coach if you have any doubt.

1) The workbench question definitely is a rampup question

2) The Designer issue looks like a lot of troubleshooting and error log reading.(the one you post looks OK.. and is on 4.1 - so it will receive ramp-up treatement)

Hi Anand ,

I am trying to connect my DS workbench with a MSSQL database and get the following error - from the log. <= means you are getting this when executing the job? On the same server or is the job engine on a different one?

My ODBC connections are testing ok and connections from Data Services Designer - datastore is working fine as well.<= means you have set up odbc connections on a windows system for MS-SQL Server? why? Can you see the data in the table content in the designer before executing the job?

The DS workbench connection test fails and throws the erroor.

The ODBC connection with Designer was working, but additionally I cannot get the data from ECC to SQL or from SQL to SQL/ HANA. I can preview data with Designer, the jobs runs ok, with green flag but it says empty file in error log. the source table has data. The source and target tables have exact same structure.
