Data Marts extraction

Hello,

We are upgrading our BW system from BW 3.1 to netweaver 2004s SP17. In our system we use infocubes as Data Marts and update data from one infocube to the other. When I check the infocubes datasources 8* in RSA3 I'm getting 0 records although the datasource infocube is full. I tried to generate export datasource but it still not working and I'm getting "0 data records selected".

Hi Amir,

In BI7 you can use the DTP concept instead of export data source. Try to create a transformation between your source and destination cubes, create a DTP on that transformation and schedule it.

Dear Suhas,

You are right about the DTP but i still want to use the old logic after the upgrade for some of the updates. Isnt it possible to use a cube as a DM in the old logic?

hi,

yes you can use cubs as data mart with 3.x dataflow, try to run the infopack in the RSA1old from the datamart cube and load to PSA then cube.Chk if that works.
