Data import from 3rd party ERP to SAP Signavio Intelligence

Hello community!

It is about SAP Signavio
I am asked by customers who process logistics in 3rd party ERP to import these transactional data into SAP Signavio Process Intelligence for overall process analysis. This is to analyse the entire E2E process including finance which is mapped in SAP. Would API be the right option?

If you don't find a dedicated connector in Process Intelligence for that 3rd party ERP system (you can check here https://help.sap.com/docs/signavio-process-intelligence/user-guide/connectors-for-data-pipelines?loc...), which is likely the case, then there are multiple options. If the 3rd party system is connected to a database, or data lake, or data warehouse (e.g.: investment already made for analytical purposes on top of that ERP system), then Process Intelligence may already provide a direct data connectivity to such db, dl, dw. Otherwise, an API-based data integration is the right option, yes! It can either be created an ETL pipeline to push data into Process Intelligence via ingestion API; or SAP Integration Suite, part of the BTP, can be used to create a dedicated integration flow to establish an API-based data connection to the ERP system at the source, and connect Process Intelligence at the target. Hope that helps!
