Data Activation process at DSO is very slow

Hi,

Our system is taking huge time running the jobs for data activation and at the time of deletion of PSA req. I observed from WP overview that it is taking long time to fetch, read, write data to RSREQDONE table.

I got some input when i search some documents

HIGH - Condense REQIDu2019s into one consolidated REQID and delete the approximately 25,000 individual Request IDs. There is absolutely no real reason to not delete old request IDu2019s as it is not realistic to think that managing in excess of a couple hundred Request ID;s is effective.

But how to do the above activity, deleting the old req?

I really appreciate your valuable responces.

Thanks,

Harish

Hi,

Check following points and threads

1. Are you carried out any reporting on DSO.There is a setting SID generations post activation. If it is required you can remove check and try again..

2. See if you can delete the PSA and change log table data regularly. It can be scheduled in PC.

3. see number range buffering for major tables like Material, customer etc.

4. Check SM50 and SM51 how the parallel processes are getting occupied.

Thanks and regards

Hi Harish,

Could you please check the below things

1) How much data you have for activation.

2) Check the job log in Sm37

3) Have you slected "SID generation" for your DSO.

Please check the above things and check job log closely, I mean at what step system is taking much time

Hi Venkat,

It is taking long time when it is hitting RSREQDONE table,

I have checked in Workprocess overview, it is taking long timw for executinng the SELECT query on RSREQDONE table.

SID generation also not there for that DSO, it is taking long time at the time of PSA deleteion job, there also at RSREQDONE step it is taking long time.

Thanks,

Harish

Hi Harish,

Which step is taking long time, is it DSO activation or PSA deletion step in process chain?

Hi Venkat,

Both the steps are taking long time.

I observered from the job long of both that it is taking long time when it is hitting RSREQDONE table...

My question is how to condense old req IDs into one REQ and delete the REQ ids from RSREQDONE table ?

Thanks,

Harish
