Hello Experts!
I need to load Customer hierarchies in BW from ECC.
I read the messages on this forum and learned that there are 2 customer related datasources:
0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER and 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER
I don't get any data in rsa3 for 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER. I have to chose the Customer Class.
I get data in rsa3 for 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER and that matches KNVH data in ECC.
0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER will map to 0CUST_SALES, right? So is that ok if I use this datasource to bring customer hierarchies into BW?
Or should I use 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER. In that case, how do I get that populated in ECC? I need functional person's help, right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi,
this hierarchies are for two different infoobjects:
- 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER: for 0CUST_SALES (see in your ERP table KNVV)
- 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER: for 0CUSTOMER (see in your ERP table KNA1)
it's depend on your infocube.
do you have 0cust_sales in your infocube.
0cust_sales is compounded with 0salesorg, 0division and 0distr_chan.
=> you can have the same customer number in different sales organizations - also two times in the hierarchie.
=> so, you can't exchange this two hierarchy. you the other infoobject.
What you want to display customer view or sales view?

There are three kinds of customer Master Data that we most often use- Customer General data- KNA1, Customer Sales Area data- KNVV, and customer company code data- (check for tables).
Check for the reporting requirement, Identify the tables and check for standard datasources, the hierarchies you are talking about are- for general, and sales area hierarchies.
If in your requirement if you have identified customer master general hierarchy, from kna1, but you do not have any data in it- then that hierarchy is not maintained in the source system.
Do not use the sales area hierarchy.
I hope this is helpful.
Ram.
