Hi,

I have developed a Crystal Report in Version 2013.  I have all the data in a Group Header as had to subtotal ID number of employees.

In Select Expert I can't find the formula to rid the employees who have a 0 total can I do this another way???

Thank you.

Yvonne

Hi Abhilash,

It is a formula in a formula.  I used an if, then else function with the formula for the previous field subtracting the measured field.

eg.      If {@formula} > {measure.field} then 0

          else {measure.field} - {@formula}

The formulas works great but I need to suppress the employees who have a total of 0 so we can only see the employee's with a figure.

Thank you so much for your help!

You cannot 'sum' formulas or use them in the Select Expert if they refer to printtime functions like 'previous()'.

Hi Abhilash,

Thank you for the formula however when I try this it come up with the message cannot summarize this field and highlights the {measure field}.

Do you know why this would be?

Is the measure field that you've used a formula?

If yes, could you paste the formula code here?

Hi Yvonne,

You can't do that from the Record Selection Formula.

Go to Report > Selection Formulas > Group and and use this code:

Sum({measure field}, {group field}) > 0

Replace {measure field} with the numeric field and {group field} with the field you've used as the group.
