crystal reports viewer - set name of print job

Hello

Wa have a VB.NET 1.1 windows forms application whit crystal reports viewer component.

We use Visual studio 2003 and crystal reports 11.0.0.895

When using the crystal reports viewer, Is it possible to set the name of the print job ?

( the name that appears in the windows print queue )

I tried using the reportTitle property in the summeryinfo property object, but this didn't work.

i also tried saving the document under a different name, however the print job name just stays"document".

Is there any way to do this correctly ?

Thank you very much for your time

See KB [1386475 - How to set printer name and print job title at runtime using Report Application Server SDK for Visual Studio .NET|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333333383336333433373335%7D.do]

Adam,

Thank you for the reference, however, i already found that article, and it was not very helpful i'm afraid, but still, thanks for your input.

Ludek,

The article you provided is exactly what i need, however, it seems to only apply to CR 12.

I can not find any of these objects in my version of CR11

ISCDReportClientDocument

PrintOutputController

PrintReportOptions

Is it possible at all to name the print job in the version we are using ?

If not, do you have any alternative suggestions ?

Thank you so much for your time.

It is possible. ISCDReportClientDocument, PrintOutputController and PrintReportOptions are defined by the InProc RAS SDK. So you will have to add the appropriate references. See the following for more info;

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10b840c0-623f-2b10-03b5-9d1913866...

The Developer guide is here:

http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/rassdk_net_dg_12_en.chm

It is for CR 12, but will apply to CR XI for the most part. Certainly for what we are trying to do here.
