I know this question has been batted around a bit on this forum so please forgive me if I couldn't find the answer.
We have some Crystal Reports that run monthly on CrystalServer and are output in CSV format for upload by third party applications. Many of the records have text that refers to trademarks, and so contain the ™ and ® characters. When output to CSV or Text files, these are rendered as â„¢ and ®, which I am guessing is a character encoding issue. The ™ and ® characters must be present in the CSV output file.
I can export the file to an excel spreadsheet and then manually export that file to a CSV, which preserves the correct characters, but I'd love to avoid that step if possible. We are using Crystal Reports 2020 for design and CrystalServer 2020 to run the reports and email the output.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help given.

And, like magic, once I posted this question the answer appeared in the Similar Questions" box on the right side of the screen.

My first try on this didn't work - I missed the second DWORD that is only noted on the bottom of the solution.
