Crystal Reports 2013 fails to install

I'm trying to install an evaluation copy of Crystal Reports 2013 on my Windows 7 64 bit workstation. I downloaded everything, unzipped it. When I double-click on the setup.exe file I get the user account control prompt, I answer OK. Then nothing happens. I've rebooted the computer, same.

I poked around some and found an old Visual Studio 2008 version of Crystal Reports. So I removed that, didn't make any difference. But maybe there's something left from that which is causing this problem.

I used to have VS2008 on this workstation, but now I'm running VS2013.

Any ideas on how to get Crystal Reports 2013 to install much appreciated.

Can you let us know where you downloaded CR 2013 from (link)?

Also, please provide a screenshot of the "user account control prompt,"

After posting the question, I saw a link to download on this forum's site. I clicked on that and found the CR for VS, which looks like it's a free download. I tried that, it installed ok and now the program I am reviewing that someone else wrote with CR is working properly.

Am I right that the CR for VS is a free add-in for me to use with VS 2013?

Yes, that is correct. For more details re licensing see:

As far as licensing, nothing has changed between VS 2010 and VS 2013 and 2015 for that matter.
