CRVS SP25 : Context Menu not showing when a field is selected

I have intalled sp25, but there is a problem: when i select a data field, the context menu (mouse rigth button) does not appear so i can't do ani action (for example: align fields). Ihave installed on the same machine Visual Studio 2017 community and Visual Studio Community 2019. Uninstalling sp 25 and reinstalling sp 24 does not show the report at design time but oly binary data. help.

I don't know if it may help, but I noticed when you save the document the Context Menu starts showing up (VS2019).

I just installed VS 2019 and CRVS SP25, and I am also experiencing this issue,
It begins to happen after a few seconds editing the report, after a few minutes not showing the context menu, VS 2019 UI will freeze and become unresponsive, the IDE won't freeze if I am not opening any CR file.
I guess this is a memory leaks issue within CR editor...

btw my OS is Win10 x64 v1903.

It was smooth with VS 2015 + CRVS SP20.

SAP: Could you PLEASE fix fast-track the fix for the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2019 ASAP??? Whatever has changed in Windows has made the CR designer almost unusable. Some type of bug fix or new service pack needs to be released before the September SP cycle. Thank you!

Add the Crystal toolbars and use the toolbar button for Object Properties. Also, do not have any other object open than the report you are designing.

When adding new fields just Ctrl-S and then restart VS as the IDE locks up.

Hi Guys,

R&D is aware of this issue and they will look into it and hopefully find a solution for SP 26

As a work around you could download a full build of Crystal Reports and not use the legacy embedded Report Designer:

Same issue here. I CAN'T EVEN ROLL BACK TO A PREVIOUS VERSION!!!!????. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM! Why haven't the download links been taken down?

So it's been 30 days since the work-around provided for this issue was given- download the full version and use it in trial mode

Given the trial is only valid for 30 days, it would be a good time for a service pack which addresses this to be available 🙂

If we uninstall and re-install the trial will that give us another 30 days? Or are there other tricks we need to know about?

Yes, something changed in one of MS's latest updates, works in Windows 10 1803 but fails in Windows 10 1809.

I have same issue in visual studio 2017 community after i installed SP25.

OS is Win7 64 bit.

Right mouse click on field freeze ide.

But if i use keyboard and i press Alt Key opening the menu, the ide unfreeze.
