Hi Everyone,
Need all of your suggestion on the local SLD transport.
Development

Local SLD
ECC : DNB100
SAP-PI : PID001
Group : GRD
Quality

Local SLD
ECC : QNB100
SAP-PI : PIQ001
Group : GRQ
Production
==========
Local SLD
ECC : PNB100
SAP-PI : PIP001
Group : GRP
Step1: Development To Quality
============================
In Development Local SLD,
a.Create TS of DNB100,PID001,QNB100,PIQ001.
b.Create BS of DNB100,PID001,QNB100,PIQ001.
c.In the BS of DNB100, enter the Target GRQ and its QNB100
d.Now Export the ESR and ID objects from Development PI system
Step2: Quality To Production
============================
In Quality Local SLD,
a.Create TS of QNB100, PIQ001, PNB100, PIP001.
b.Create BS of QNB100, PIQ001, PNB100, PIP001.
c.In the BS of QNB100, enter the Target GRP and its PNB100
d.d.Now Export the ESR and ID objects from Quality PI system
If there is any deviation, kindly share?
Regards
Rebecca
Hi,
1. you need to have transport targets on the PRD too - you only need them in the receiving SLD not in the sending one
>>>d.d.Now Export the ESR and ID objects from Quality PI system
yes - assuming you don't use CTS+ (abap transports of PI objects)
if you do this you transport from DEV to TEST and from DEV to PRD (just like on any other ABAP stack)

Hi Michael,
Yes I am using CTS+ for PI objects as well as ABAP proxy objects this being a outbound proxy scenario. I have 3 SLD i.e. each for DEV,QUALITY and PRODUCTION.
So Michal it means, the following should be maintained.
Development SLD:
================
1.3 TS of ECC and 3 TS of PI Integration Server each of DEV,QUAL and PRD
2.3 BS of ECC and 3 BS of PI Integration Server each of DEV,QUAL and PRD
3.3 Group i.e. GRD,GRQ and GRP each of DEV,QUAL and PRD
And now
4.In the DEV BS, I have to add the Target Group as QUAL and PRD and their related BS.
5.In the QUAL SLD >>>> I dont Know <<<<<<
6.In the PRD SLD >>>> I dont Know <<<<<<
Michal, could you make it more clear??
Regards
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca,
if you have two SLDs you need to have both layers's Business Systems in target system.
In development SLD you dont need transport targets at all.
In the Q-SLD you need transport target. When you do a IB Directory transport from DEV to QAS, and you have for example a configuration including DNB100 in the file, the system transfers that name to QNB100. The SLD access is here to Q-SLD because you import to Q system.

Hi Alice,
1. Are you using File transports? Even if you are using file transports, my preferred way to move objects is to Export once from D and move the same file all across to Q and production.
2. Creation of transport groups and target systems is closely linked with your SLD strategy. Do you have all the D and Q systems in Dev environment? If your approach has to work, then you also need to transport SLD objects first and then ESR and ID objects.

Hi Nageshwar,
>>>>1. Are you using File transports?<<<<<<<<
No I am using CTS+ where the sceanrio is ABAP Outbound Proxy
>>>>>Do you have all the D and Q systems in Dev environment?<<<<<<
No. I have 3 SLD i.e. each for DEV, QUAL and PROD.
Could you suggest please???
Do you have document or share any link where it captures this scenario.
Regards
Rebecca
