Hello guys,
would you please help me with the following issue? Currently I have 2 models (one with Location data and one with Financial data) from which I would like to create a geomap, but I found out, that even when I link the two models, I am unable to use them both at the same time, while creating the geomap.
I read that in order to create a geomap, I would have to have both Location data and Financial data in one model. This is a huge problem for me, because due to a high volume of the financial data, I created the Financial model as a Blank model (there I created the dimensions manually and then imported the data). This way it is not possible to create a Location dimension - Location dimension can be created only when creating the model from a file (as far as I know).
Do you know about any workaround so that I could create the geomap while having the financial model still created from a blank model (not from a file!)?
Thank you very much!

Hi Adam,
This is indeed a product limitation as described in this SAP KBA: 2433853 - Using geo maps (geospatial analysis / location data) with SAP Analytics Cloud. There is a link to an improvement request to extend this functionality. Please vote!
A workaround could be that you create a file with all the columns which you need in the blank model?
With kind regards,

Hello Martijn,
thank you very much for your answer! As for your workaround recommendation - I believe that the only way is to create the model by uploading a file that would contain both the Financial a Location data and do the Geo Enrichment in the Modeler.
Thanks again!
Best regards,
