CRAXDRT doesnu2019t appear for me in VB 6.0 as an option

Hi, I am using CR XI (up from CR 8.0), any info I find to display the reports in VB says to use CRAXDRT.

Ex:

u2018Declare the application object used to open the rpt file.

Dim crxApplication As New CRAXDRT.Application

u2018Declare the report object

Public Report As CRAXDRT.Report

I have selected In VB project properties/Designer tab/Crystal Reports 11 and in Controls tab Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer Liberary 11.0

bold my problem is that CRAXDRT doesnu2019t appear for me in VB.

bold I type "Dim App As New" and the autosense does not dropdown "CRAXDRT" as an option and I get an error if I have it in and run the app. Am I missing a reference?

I have not been able to find any info on how to fix this.

Thanks

Hello,

First upgrade to CR XI R2 for free:

http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreports/crxir2_sp4_full_bld_0-20008684.exe

http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreports/CRYSTALREPORTS06_0-20008684.EXE

Use your XI keycode to install it and contact sales for a new key when you build your distribution package.

Add craxdrt.dll to your references and then add the ActiveX viewer to your object list.

Thanks

Don

PS I believe XI required a Developer Version. When you open CR Designer up and click on Help, About... it should say Developer version. If not you won't have craxdrt.dll.

Try browsing to craxdrt.dll and add it to your references.
