CPI Send step for Process Direct Adapter or ways to send response direct to Sender System

Hi CPI experts,

we are heavily using Process Direct Adapter to forward messages to other Iflows. Mainly because of enhancements SAP Standard Iflows.

The issue is that for Process Direct if we have to use request reply to send the message to Process Direct Adapter. But this emans also that no repsonse is send to the sender system until all follow up steps are done. But we want to send a direct response (End Message) to the sender system if forwarding to the follow up iflow is successful.

For Send step we can not use Process Direct adapter. see docu

Any hints or recommendations how to handle this requirement of direct response to the sender system?

Hello Maik,

Try to use SOAP Adapter instead of Process Direct and select below configuration it should work then .

So you use a SOAP Sender / Receiver instead process direct communication? I suppose based on that the number of counted messages will be doubled in such a scenario.
