Cost element

hi,

I am still trying to relate cost element to a personnel number. I found a table ppdit, this table shows the

document numbers and line numbers, but for individual personnel numbers it is summarized. is there anyway of me going into these documents are looking for the personnel number and maybe get which cost elements a personnel number is associate with for a given period.

also in infotype 27 for cost distribution there is a field called wbs element, is this related to a cost element in any way.

Hi Jamie,

I still think there is no direct (and hardly an indirect) relationship between personnel number and cost element, for the latter expresses which types of costs and revenues are posted to an employee. There can be several postings with different cost elements for a single personnel number

About your 2nd question: well, I can remember I once used the WBS-elements... it's another object that can be posted, just like an internal order or a cost center (of course every object shall be used in its proper way). Any such an object may receive postings of costs/revenues of serveral types, thus with different cost elements... So I don't think there's a link between WBS-element and cost element either...

Any other idea, folks?
