We are copying actuals and forecast using copy function .
Whenevr we do this it will notify us if any discrepancy in master and transaction data .
But now we want this validation to happen only for forecast and actuals should be copied as they are (copy not showing any discrepancy though there is some).
Any ideas on this how to achieve.
We were was also facing the same issue, for creating a rolling forecast version when we copy the data there are chances that char attributes might have changed but we needed the data as is (no derivations). We had to take a BW route where we switch the cube and run a process chain for loading the data. Please let us know if you have solved the issue through some other route.
If you copy the trans data to other combinations of char, the new chars values have to be in the masterdata (if the infoobject masterdata flag is checked).
If you want to ignore the existing of masterdata, you can unflag this check in infoobject, and the system will create new entry for it.
e.g: You have V10, V20 in your master data. You have Trans.data with V10. Now you copy trans data to V30. The system will create error message IOBJ VERSION is flag with masterdata, but will create new version V30 in masterdata if it is not flaged.
