Copy from actual datat to plan data and lock with Data Slices

Hello,

its very urgent. I need your help!

I have copied the actual data (value type 10) for the InfoObject Version 1 until 100 to plan data (value type 20) and'll lock only a slice of these values. (e.g. Version 4 and 5) with data slices. It works fine.

After this I'll copy the whole actual data again, but get the msg:

"You want to change data for which a change is generally forbidden. In

the definition of the planning area, it was defined which data slices

could not be planned. The combination of characteristic values, which

you want to change, is blocked by data slice Version."

My problem: I want to copy the whole data (without to differentiate) and hope that the system copied only the unlocked data again. But it doesn't work.

Is there a mistake in the configuration or is this system behavior right?

Cheers

Dirk

Instead of versions 4 & 5, use different version; version that is not covered in data slice.

This is the expected behaviour.

You can change the version name ( diff from version 4 & 5) and then copy.

"This is the expected behaviour."

but I don't understand what do you mean with "change the version name" ?

please, could you explain your advice.

Hi,

from the moment you are trying to change data which are exlcuded by your data slice, you get an error. What you need to do is exclude this data (version) when you execute your function (via the filter).

thanx D.

I know I could do this, but that would be to extensive.

Is there not an other way?

Perhaps you can create an exit variable for your version to be used in the filter, which will exclude the versions in the data slice?
