Dear Madhu ,
This error can come because may be the portal user is not there in backend application due to which user mapping is coming to be failed.Ask your basis to create a test portal user in backend application then this error will go off.
Also you can follow the below checklist or ask your basis guy to help you in this:
CHECKLIST FOR SSO
a You are using fully qualified domain names in the system landscape definition and when accessing the portal;
b.Your certificate hasn't expired;
c.Your backend RZ10 settings are correct (login/accept_sso2_ticket);
d.You have uploaded the certificate to the backend system (STRUSTSSO2);
there is an entry in the ACL table (TWPSSO2ACL) in the back end client you are connecting can be reached by SM30;
e.You have the same username in the portal and back end OR you have set up user mapping.
f. If you use transaction SSO2 (that's the letter o) and enter NONE for the RFC destination, that will check the value of the login/accept_sso2_ticket and a few other things.
Hope this is helpful to you
Regards
