Connect points in xy chart

I want to create an xy chart that has the points connected by a line. I can't use the line chart tool because I can't modify the x axis scale.

I want to show the us treasury yield curve and there are multiple rates with short durations like 3 months, 1 year, 2 year, 5 year, but then there is a large gap to the 30 year. I want to show the correct spacing between each of the years which I can't seem to figure out in a line chart.

So, is it possible to connect the points in an xy chart?

The XY Chart component does not have the functionality to connect the various data points that could be produced. One work around would be to place a Line Chart behind the XY Chart, manipulating the data points to mimic the points you want to connect in the XY Chart.
