Issue:

While trying to connect Eclipse to by BTP trial account I get the following error

Failed to get service instance URL info for https://XXX.abap.us10.hana.ondemand.com: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException:

Using Eclipse version 2024|09 or Version 4.33

Background:

I have had a trial account since end of July 2024

Since July to October I was able to work in Eclipse working in several missions using version 4.32 which was connected to my BTP trial subaccount.

During that time, I was refused 3 times access to my files because lack of authorization.

Creating a new service key and creating new projects on new workspaces in Eclipse solved the problem.

I log in using my SAP Universal ID

In order to solve my issue not being able to log into SAP BTP trial via eclipse I have tried the following

  1. Create a service key manually
    1. In Eclipse: open in Menu under File > Create cloud project > import service key > extract > copy to clipboard > next = Error above: "Failed to get service instance URL info for …"
  2. Create a service key with a booster
    1. In Eclipse: open in Menu under File > Create cloud project > import service key > extract > copy to clipboard > next = Error above: "Failed to get service instance URL info for …
  3. Delete and create new development ABAP spaces in SAP BTP trial subaccount
  4. Update Eclipse from 4.32 to 4.33 version
  5. Update tools.hana.ondemand.com to latest version
  6. Delete old workspaces in Eclipse

My problem not being able to join my Eclipse with my SAP BTP trial account via service key is still present.

Can you please help me?

I would guess that your BTP Trial was deleted after the 90 days of usage. You have to create a new one.

Thank you for the hint. You are probably right. However what confuses me is that during login of my SAP BTP Cokpit I can see the following pop-up: QUOTE The current interval expires in 44 days. If you log in regularly, the interval will be extended automatically until your 90-day trial period is finished. Your trial account will be deleted 44 days from now, on 17 Dec 2024 UNQUOTE According to this information, do you still think that my BTP trial is deleted And what is more important is there a way to check it?
