we want to link our documents to our Signavio processes without linking them to the glossar manually.
Does anyone has a solution or idea for that?
Thanks in advance and best regards
So there are two solutions:
a) As described be Remy, you don't need to use the dictionary but could directly link them. But this solution has some disadvantages, like no overview which document is used in which processes, no additional meta data can be shown in Signavio, a Migration (when document links are changed) is way harder and in general you can't really implement any governance about these documents in Signavio.
b) An automated synchronization between your DMS and the Glossary by using the Signavio API. So whenever something new is published in your DMS, the Signavio Dictionary will be automatically updated. Depending on your DMS our Professional Services Team is happy to explain options and do estimations.
In my organization, we have created a custom attribute called "Attached documents"
We defined it as type "Document/URL (as a list)" and it allows us to link any document stored in our Sharepoints to our processes.
Hope that helps!
If you have SAP Enable Now(SEN)
You can link SEN and Signavio.
Import Signavio structure to SEN and link your SEN Training Materials to this structure. This will create a link in Signavio's SAP Enable Now Document attribute.
This allows easy tracking of all the links and easy update.
If your documents are in any other DMS you can create a BookPage in SEN with links to these documents and link that Bookpage to Signavio.
