The available guides for 3.2 is not helping for 4..
plz tell me from wer i can get a proper guide ...
Thank you
Hi,
Congrats that you are into Solman 4.0 We have got Hardship ahead.
As first thing you need to <b>Define Service Desk Destination in the Solution Manager</b>.
then define number range for message types.
Also take care that your IBase componants are intalled, Create Business partners.
This will enable you to create support message and keep exploring.
In the process if you get any runtime error you may need to apply some patches.
Hope this will help you.
Feel free to revert back i hope i can help you.

Dear Raguraman C,
<b>Regarding the configuration of support desk in solution manager 4.0.</b>
I have a problem regarding the configuration of support desk in solution manager 4.0. All the steps are correctly configured; while I am trying to change the support message, which is sending from satellite system to the solution manager a run time error is occurring. I have checked our RFC connection its working properly
The runtime error is mentioned below:
Runtime Errors RFC_VMC_COMMUNICATION_ERROR
Short text
Error during VM container communication between ABAP and JAVA
What happened?
During the communication between the JAVA and the ABAP stack, an error
Occurred in the RFC layer.
Error analysis
An error occurred during the execution of an inprocess Remote Function
Call:
CallServer return code = "-1007"
Pointer = "3D1F7828"
Thanks and Regards

Hi Kishor and Ragu,
please implement SAP Note 946961 to avoid the runtime error "RFC_VMC_COMMUNICATION_ERROR"
This SAP Note was mentioned in the central SAP Note 662441 "Solution Manager: SAP Notes for Support Packages", which contains important information / corrections for a Support Package.
Note 662441 should be checked, after applying Support Packages.
I hope, this information will help you.
Best regards,
Ruediger Stoecker
Hi,
We have done all the configuration setting for service desk messages in solution manager 4.0.
But still when we try to create a message in solar01 or solar02 T.code we are not able to select the field system/ibase component it says "no authorization" for the sap super user itself.
Can anyone plz help me in this regard.
Regards
Ashwin

Hi Ashwin,
i had this problem too. I tried to solve it with building in the support package sapkitl419. The SAP Note i found to this problem was very unclear, but i was the closest to my problem. But using this package made it worse. the notification screen is not shown anymore with the message "notification cannot be create" DSMOP009. Haven't found anything to that in the Marketplace to solve it?
