Hi,

i juste configured BI_JAVA, and i'm getting a runtime error when loading a WEB BEX using tcode rsrt. error message :

Exception in BI runtime

Command type SWITCH_AXES of object not recognized

Parameter GENERAL_TEXT_ELEMENT not recognized; check your metadata

Initial cause

Message:

Error while loading the Web template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" (return value "4")

i would never think of it !! you are right it is GUI problem. very maliscious since there is no error displayed.

Hello,

1. Please check (or activate again) all BTMP & BITM objects starting wint 0*

2. Restart Java Server for any cases

How should I understand:

BI-BASE-S 7.00 12 2

BIWEBAPP 7.00 12 1

You have to deploy the same Patch level of both components. Please take SPS 12, Patch #2 and deploy it on your server.

thanx for reply. but as i said, the BI Content obejcts:

infoproviders by infoareas

infoobjects by inforeas

infosources by application components

Roles

object types

objects in BW patch

Transport requests

Packages

all this components are empty, don't display any object in the "all objects window", nor "collected objects" one.

as i said may be i need some custimisation in SPRO to have the BI Content display in the RSA1 ?

As I understand you do not see the tree with available objects in the middle area?

I had once this problem, this was my local GUI problem. I have updated qui and the problem was solved. by mistake I installed 710 gui and then my 640 gui did not work correctly (some files were not in the correct version).

Try to use other PC with another gui installation. I do not know about any required SPRO changes for this.

Double-click on it, a dialog will start, search for 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN & select.

it is empty. the all object navigation is empty. no object there. may be some activation in SPRO is needed to have BI content objects displayed in RSA1 ?

After short investigation:

It seems that your version of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN is older than the meta data in system.

Try to activate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN again.

1. Go to transaction RSA1

2. Click on left-bottom: BI Content

3. In the middle column: BEx Web Template (BTMP) -> expand

4. Select object 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN & drag-drop to right column

5. Press install button on the top

This should help.

Thank you for this answer, but i've already read this note.

the thing is i don't have anything once selected Object type on BI Content Tab.

the "All objects window" is empty, no obejct there for all BI content components.

Some activation needed somewhere ? or is there any authorisations to activate ?

actually you're right i found the D version on the system and it is the one delivred on SP4 on BI 703, it corrects all these issues, it is the one activated on the developement envirement.

but how to activate it again in the pre production ?

i tried RSA->BI Centent->object Type : but there is no object displayed on this menu .

if you know how to activate the Delivered (D) version of the standard templates ?

From the left hand side you will be able select the the Template by clicking on the Object Types.

Check OSS note 925351 for the templates which needs to be installed.

While investigating on the problem, i used : RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 prog to visualize the different versions of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.

it seems that the active version is different from the delivred one, how come ? i mean how such thing can happen since it is a new system.

and how to overwite the active version with the one of D version.

Actiavte the template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN FROM RSA1, this template is modified with most support packages.

What Support Package are you on? Some of the issues are resolved with the latest SPs (eg. LEGEND_TYPE with value of Object item:CHART_ITEM:CHART ).

The message E23 The data provider could not be instantiated is just a warning saying there are no queries assigned to the default DP.

Activating the template should take some of the issues.
