combobox / cursor control does not work

Former Member

Hi there,

I am using phtmlb:combobox. In the combobox the left/right keys to move the cursor do not work. The left key brings the cursor to the input-field left of the combobox (like shift tab), for the right-key there is no reaction. In normal input fields the left/right keys work fine.

Does anybody know what is wrong?

sincerely yours

Bernhard

Hello Raja,

I use the combobox in a tableview using the tableview iterator class.

Everything works fine. I can select values, I can enter data, only the cursor-keys (left, right) don't work. In an normal input field the cursor keys do what I expect.

nameOfValueColumn = 'VALUE'

enabled = 'TRUE'

selection = <val>

table = l_t

).

<htmlb:content design="design2002+design2003" >

it could be an issue..

Could u able to select from the dropdown using mouse?

<i>only the cursor-keys (left, right) don't work.</i>

You mean selecting using up & down arrow?

Hello Raja,

I can use mouse and up/down arrow to select values. Only left/right-arrow does not work to move the cursor through the text. Left-arrow is like shift/tab, the cursor jumps left to the next inputfield, right-arrow shows no reaction.

I use DESIGN2003 on the BSP.

sincerely yours

Hello Raja,

I tried once more. Using the combobox as phtmlb-element in the layout, the arrow-keys work. Using the combobox in a tableview and setting the replacment-bee as above causes the arrow-keys left/right not to work. Thats a little bit strange. Maybee you have an idea. The generated html-coding is complex, but maybe I can find there some differences,

sincerely yours

I hope you might have used the below properties..

p_replacement_bee = cl_phtmlb_combobox=>factory(
            id = P_CELL_ID
           behavior = 'freetext'
           nameOfKeyColumn = 'CARRID'
          nameOfValueColumn = 'CARRID'
          enabled = 'TRUE'
         table = I_PHAS1_REF
).

and

  DATA:I_PHAS1_REF TYPE REF TO DATA.
