Hi
We are currently running Cognos 6 on an oracle data warehouse and looking at upgrade to Cognos 10 or SAP.
Does anyone know if there is a migration tool or process (export/import xml) that can:
Also, is there a way that SAP can use Cognos multidimensional cubes (mdc files) as a data source?
Thanks
Denise
No official SAP tools that can do migration from eaither cognos versions. There could be some SAP consulting or third party solutions.
SAP can't use Cognos cubes are all.

Hi Guys,
We have some reports in SAP BusinessObjects and we need same reports now in Cognos. Is their any possibility to import / use the reports from SAP BO into Cognos instead of creating them from scratch.
Thanks and best regards.

Hi Ajay,
I AM NOT KIDDING US. Both solutions SAP BO and Cognos are relavent here thats why in my opinion forum doesn't matter. If BO reports can be imported in other BI Tools like Cognos then it's a big plus for SAP BO and this is what companies are looking for a BI Solution which is adoptable.
Best regards
Fahad
companies are using cognos and they have their own reasons and we as consultants should prove which solution is better for their needs .. nevertheless its totally different debate , the point here is to find a solution to import reports from SAP BO to cognos or vice versa .. if any one have any idea about it please let me know ,,. thanks
Can you share the experience of the migration - we are also looking at such migrations with our customers. Do you have a cookbook approach to migrate or managed to find a tool? I am very curious to understand in which way the project went. Thanks for your help.

Denise,
I'm interested in hearing how the migration went. Did you end up migrating to SAP? If so, any details on the migration proces would be great to hear.
Thanks!
Kyle
