I saw this message on my account
Your free trial expires in 14 days. Once your account has expired, your applications may be stopped and you will not be able to run them. However, your data will not be deleted and you will be able to extend your free trial.
What does this mean exactly? Do my applications get deleted automatically or just stopped till I extend the trial?
Do I have to manually extend the trial?
After trial extension, do resources get allocated to the same org and space or do I have to start from scratch and assign these manually to new orgs/subaccounts?
Is my account not eligible for cloud foundry trial after 90 days?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Henry,
very good question! I agree that the wording on the website is somewhat confusing. I use the trial for more than a year now, so here's my experience:
Once you create the trial, the countdown will be set to 30 days. During these 30 days your instances might be stopped (if needed). After the 30 days, your account will go to sleep. This means all apps will be stopped and you won't be able to log in via the CF CLI anymore (until you extend your trial).
Extending the trial means you will get another 30 days until the account will go to sleep. After extending two times (e.g. 90 days) your subaccount will be deleted. E.g. all apps and services will be gone and you cannot log in via the CLI anymore. After this point, you are able to start your new trial from scratch via the SCP cockpit.
PS: I know this sounds very confusing at first. However, the upside is that this is a virtually unlimited trial.

Hi Idi,
no, I meant you should be able to continue with the existing account. I've seen that we currently seem to have issues with the renewal. Please follow this question to stay in the loop.
How can i extend my trial period beyond 30 days (till 90 days) ? Kindly share the steps to extend trial period beyond 30 days in cloud foundry for my sub-account named "trial".
