I'm new to SAP HANA development. I bought the book "SAP HANA - An Introduction" (Bjarne Berg) where many of the possible HANA development tools are described.
These are:
In addition, there are 2 more chapters about :
Unfortunately, there are mostly code examples, but I'm missing a comparison between those tools. I find the variety of the tools confusing and I don't know, which one to choose for my purposes.
Is there any resource where all features of the main developer tools are listed (compared), so that I can choose the right one for me?
In short: I'm an experienced software developer, I don't mind using a more complex tool (e.g. eclipse-based).
Dear Dol,
SAP HANA Development can be done by either SAP HANA Studio (or) Web Workbench. More informaiton is available in SAP HANA Platform (Core) – SAP Help Portal Page
I would recommend you to take up the following SAP HANA Development courses from openSAP.
Introduction to Software Development on SAP HANA (Repeat) - Thomas Jung
Software Development on SAP HANA (Delta SPS 09, Repeat) - Thomas Jung and Rich Heilman
Rgds,
Mat.
