Changing the host name

we changed the host name from 'hostname' to 'hostname.corp.xxx.com' (as SSL was requesting fully qualified hostname).. But when we did that, SPROXY fails becoz it is unable to locate the URL 'hostname.xxx'. Also when we test SM59 with the new host name 'hostname.corp.xxx.com', SM59 gives an error saying invalid hostname (and test connection gives ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_ERROR.

What steps are we missing, so that SM59 can be executed successfully.

Hello,

please check also note 804124 and use in transaction sproxy under 'goto' the function 'Connection Test', to analyse your problem.

Add the hostname in hosts file c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in the correct format

ex:

192.168.1.12 xiserver xiserver.company.com

Can you ping the full host name successfully?
