Changelog deletion with Process chain does not work

Hi everybody,

We have a Process chain running which should delete all changelogs older then 30 Days from differenz aDSOs. But as you can see on the Screenshot, the Cleanup failed and nothing is deleted.

Hi Sriram, there is not error message at all. Everything is green in the job Log.

Try to narrow the issue. is the change log/clean up process working when you do manually. If yes, try to create a new process chain and new variant with just 1 DSO for trail purpose and see if it is working.

Only CL requests can be deleted, which were updated to all delta targets. If the ADSO has delta targets, then you have to update all requests to all delta targets (DMALL).

Hi Roland, the aDSO does not have any delta targets. aDSO is on the final Layer and is only consumed by an CompositeProvider

1. What are the settings of your CL deletion variant?
2. How does the administration of the ADSO look like? (RSMNG)?
3. Is there a request to be deleted for the given time interval?

Hi Roland, the settings of the variant are "Remove Old Requests From Change Log" and older 30 Days. The aDSO is of type "Data Warehouse Layer - Delta Calculation", so Change Log is on and loaded requests have to be activated. For the given Time Interval are more then several hundred requests to be deleted. Does this help? let me know if you need any furter details

Can you please post a screenshot about the variant itself and also about the ADSO administration (via RSMNG request list)?

Btw. are the notes from the KBA 2821840 (which I mentioned earlier) installed?

According the screenshot there are outgoing deltas from this ADSO (Tgt flag).

If its white, it means, that the request was not updated to any delta targets at all.

If its green it means, that the requests were updated only to a subset of delta targets.

All requests must have a "checkered" flag so you can delete the CL data.

This was exactly that I stated in my very first answer, yet you insisted that the ADSO has no delta targets. According the screenshot it definitely has.

Did you also checked the KBA, that I mentioned?
