I created a new webi report by duplicating one of the document's existing reports. I did this because I want to preserve the formatting, input controls, and other logic that is contained in the report.
Now I would like to change the query assigned to the table and crosstab on the new report. While I know I can manually switch the fields using the table's Assign Data... feature, I was hoping there would be a less-cumbersome way of doing so.
Is there an easy way to change the query that is assigned to a webi table and crosstab?
HI Craig,
The only other way I can think of would be to add a new query, then replace each field on the report with the new field in the editor.
Put it in structure only mode then drag and drop the new fields into the old field slot, which replaces that original object.
That keeps the original structure. I am not sure that is any less cumbersome than what you are already doing.
